I have been an “under­cover” Coach for many years. I got 7 out of 7 and WILL get a busi­ness card and carry it — because I believe that I have a gift for coaching/helping oth­ers to bet­ter clar­ify the best course for their lives — with­out try­ing to “run” their lives for them. Thanks.

I have 6/7 and I am a mother of 7…children…not dwarves, although some days have felt like that.Such a coin­ci­dence that I
hap­pened upon your video as I am cur­rently in the process of acquir­ing my license as a spir­i­tual health coach.This prompted me to ask the ques­tion what is a life coach and what do peo­ple think a life coach is or does? I think I’ve been a coach all along except I’m real­iz­ing it now on a deeper level. As for some of the com­ments I’ve read regard­ing com­pe­ti­tion; the world really needs coaches now more than ever, peo­ple need sup­port and hope dur­ing tough times. Don’t be afraid—let your light shine!

Hi, David,

I’m a ther­a­pist and work­shop facil­i­ta­tor specif­i­cally in Jun­gian analy­sis and guid­ance through dream con­tent and symbology.

I’ve helped many peo­ple, but it would seem to me that to make a very high coach­ing income fig­ure one would have to know some­thing about many fields such as real estate, cor­po­rate issues, etc, of which I know nothing.

Your thoughts?

Hi! I had 7/7.……I have never thought of being a coach for life…interesting thought though.….…..I do teach pri­vately and lots of times I do encour­age my clients in very pos­i­tive life affirm­ing ways…but to do it pro­fes­sion­ally with­out any spe­cific train­ing.…? mmm­m­mmm?????? I would have to think about that one prior to embark­ing into it.….…Please do send me your 50 questions…I lam most curi­ous about what they contain.

My ques­tion: Why would any­one (poten­tial client) want to speak with some­one who does not have some kind of spe­cific train­ing in the field that they are ask­ing ques­tions about? I know life expe­ri­ence is worth a lot more than train­ing in some respects.….perhaps bet­ter in many.….…I owuld be inter­ested in your response. Thank you so much for sharing.…

I have been quite suc­cess­ful in coach­ing peo­ple on rela­tion­ships for years, how­ever I have not been suc­cess­ful in charg­ing for my ser­vices. My self pro­mo­tion has been lack­ing and I have not found a good way to mar­ket my gifts.

Wow, your video really hit home, it was like you were an old friend dis­cussing things we had both spo­ken about with each other. A weird and uncanny six and a half min­utes.
I scored a 7 and already have busi­ness cards printed (from Vista Print) but don’t carry them around because I didn’t think I would ever use them. You have re-inspired me to go one step fur­ther and see what transpires.

hey i’m study­ing my career at this moment and even­though i don’t want to say it, i’m not liv­ing as good as i wanted, my grades aren’t that good some­times, i don’t have enough money, i’m in another country(austria) and don’t speak the lan­guage flu­ently, but my friends come to me and open them­selves with me and some­times i even get tired of hear­ing them, i’m like “why am i lis­ten­ing to this dude?” , but hey hope­fully this sem­i­nar will help me to improve myself and help me to help oth­ers.

I got 6–1/2 out of 7 I was a pro­fes­sional gym­nas­tics coach and seemed to just moved into help­ing in other areas. my biggest ques­tion is I would like to charge on the basis that if I can help you what would that be worth to you, eg: if your scared of hights and I removed that how would that change your life and what would it be worth. thats where it ends I don’t know

Hi David,

I got 7 out of 7. I used to work as a coun­selor at a facil­ity but due to health chal­lenges, I can no longer work out­side the home. But I have a pas­sion for work­ing with oth­ers and I seem to have a gift for con­nec­tion with, under­stand­ing and moti­vat­ing even the clients that no one else could reach.

When I learned that you could do Life Coach­ing via the phone, I thought it was a per­fect solu­tion. I have a web­site and a blog where I post orig­i­nal, insight­ful, help­ful articles.

How­ever, I seem to be a bit tech­ni­cally chal­lenged which makes chang­ing my main web­site dif­fi­cult. And even after spend­ing thou­sands of dol­lars on mar­ket­ing courses, pro­grams and instruc­tions, I have had lit­tle suc­cess in attract­ing clients or gain­ing recog­ni­tion as an expert in my field.

I have expe­ri­enced and over­come many of the issues and chal­lenges that can cre­ate dif­fi­cul­ties in people’s lives and I have train­ing and expe­ri­ence in deal­ing with most other issues.

I also have read thou­sands of books on self growth and spir­i­tu­al­ity, spir­i­tual prin­ci­ples, etc, etc.

I know that I can make a pos­i­tive con­tri­bu­tion to many people’s lives if I knew how to effec­tively mar­ket myself and my business.

I will cre­ate and order some busi­ness cards as soon as I post this comment.

I would appre­ci­ate any sug­ges­tions that you could give me.

I’ve been qui­etly observ­ing online trends, indus­try experts, etc., for the past cou­ple of years. Isn’t the coach­ing indus­try a bit “sat­u­rated”? With that thought in mind, I’m fear­ful that my com­pe­ti­tion would be unbear­ably stiff. What do you think?

Thanks for a great idea! I scored 7/7. If you do hand out a card or recruit a cus­tomer — how do you go about set­ting up the appoint­ment and get­ting paid. They will surely ask ques­tions when set­ting up the appt. so how do you keep from telling them every­thing with­out it being the offi­cial coach­ing session?

David, sim­ple and to the point. A good tool to get to the root ques­tions one has to if this is their so called “call­ing.” But as we all know, that is just the start and hon­estly start­ing in a generic way with out a spe­cial­ized mech­a­nism to reach peo­ple is almost wish­ful think­ing. By the way I got 7 for 7 right.

So before any­one gets their “cart before the prover­bial horse,” a busi­ness per­son must hon­estly ask, “How do we then pro­ceed?” I could pro­ceed in many ways. This I do know so if this suttested con­tent is actu­ally a “test” of sorts of how, in an entre­pre­neureal fash­ion do I go from point a to point b, etc., then the busi­ness per­son in each of us must arise and cre­ate a “busi­ness plan of sorts,” at least in our minds of how to then pro­ceed with our new busi­ness cards.

Is it now time to “rein­vent” your per­sona with a busi­ness strat­egy method­ol­ogy which is time tested or just toss out ideas and see what sticks to the wall? Many unan­swered ques­tions abound. For some, this test will be sim­ply become an insur­mount­able task, for some, they will fum­ble their way through and then per­haps quit because we lack men­tor­ing or direc­tion that can, from a busi­ness sense, really work? Well, we all need, or should want now are the “50 ques­tions” then we can pon­der this “new hori­zon.” How­ever, as one com­ment per­son alreaady stated, how do I charge my client? Do I lay claim to the 6 Sem­i­nars I’ve been to, per­haps? I’m I really a REAL “life coach?” I guess only time will tell how “effec­tive” you really are at lis­ten­ing to peo­ple, deter­min­ing their core prob­lem as to why they are not achiev­ing what they want to achieve? And then bring them to a boni­fied nat­ural con­clu­sion which doesn’t sound like a “for­tune teller.” The slate is blank, I sup­pose it’s time to begin to fill it in! Yes, really, I am a “Life Coach Entre­pre­neuer.” Let’s move for­ward shall we?

7/7, ive been this way my whole life. i thought i was just being human and help­ful– it makes me feel good and helps me too some­times. i like to see peo­ple happy– the sparkle in the eyes, the smile on the face, the glow of the skin, new energy all sim­ply by mak­ing them see things with a new or dif­fer­ent per­spec­tive. its actu­ally quite easy to do too. never thought of mak­ing money off it though.

Hi,
great video, proof that sim­plic­ity is the answer to most things.

I got 6/7, I do this stuff a lot just by talk­ing to peo­ple when I feel they need it.
I get a sort of feel­ing that I should ask or just say some­thing that grabs the per­sons mind and just go from there. I have no idea what Ill talk about it just happens.

On Sat­ur­day past I had a lady who told me I ought to be a life coach. I laughed and said that was the last thing in my mind and any­how I have no qual­i­fi­ca­tions of any kind.
